Caregiver Smart Solutions Sensors

Have you ever wanted to add more Caregiver Smart Solutions sensors to your CORE kit, but weren’t sure how to do it? It’s actually pretty easy! In this blog, we explain the steps you need to take to connect new sensors, like a movement sensor or a water sensor. Just make sure you’re close to the hub and follow the instructions that come with each sensor. Before you know it, you’ll have the Peace of Mind you need!

Hello and welcome to Caregiver Smart Solutions! My name is Ryan Herd, and today we’re going to be discussing how to connect sensors to the system. Whether you’re setting up a brand new kit or adding sensors at a later date, the process is the same.

Add a Sensor

To get started, you’ll need to open up the app and go to the settings section. From there, select “add a sensor” and choose the specific sensor you want to set up. It’s important to note that you’ll need to be close to the hub during this process, as it will communicate with you throughout the setup.

Once you’ve selected your sensor, you’ll need to prepare it for configuration. This may involve removing a battery-saving plastic tab, installing batteries, and tightening the sensor’s cover with a quarter or nickel until it clicks into place.

Next, you’ll start the configuration process by pressing the “star” button on the sensor. The blue light on the hub should start flashing, indicating that it is ready to connect. To complete the connection, use the tool to press the reset button on the hub and hold it for four to five seconds until the LED on the front starts blinking.

Name the Sensor

After the sensor is connected, you’ll need to name it and specify its location within the app. This will help you identify the sensor and know where it is located within your home.

It’s important to note that different sensors may have slightly different setup processes. For example, the movement sensor requires you to hold it in a specific position for a few seconds to complete the connection, while the water sensor needs to be placed in a specific location within your home to function properly. Be sure to carefully follow the instructions provided with each sensor to ensure a successful setup.

We hope this information has been helpful in showing you how to connect sensors to the system. If you have any further questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at Caregiver Smart Solutions. Thank you for watching!
