How to properly mount a Caregiver Smart Solutions sensor on a front door

First and foremost, it’s important to make sure you have identified the door drawer sensor using the caregiver smart solutions app. Once you have done that, the majority of the sensor should be mounted on the door itself.

One tip to keep in mind is to orient the hole on the sensor downwards when mounting it on the door. This will make it easier to identify the sensor again in the future using the small tool.

It’s also a good idea to mount the sensor relatively high on the door. This will help to make the sensor as unobtrusive as possible and prevent it from being accidentally hit by a shoe or knee.

The smaller part of the sensor should be mounted on the molding, but be sure to place it close enough to the door without obstructing its use. To mount the sensor, simply peel the backing off the sticky part and adhere it to the door or molding. Make sure to align the tiny hash mark on the side of the sensor with the corresponding mark on the door or molding.

If you happen to have a storm door in front of your front door, you can still mount the door drawer sensor on the front door. Just be sure to mount it in the same way, aligning the hash marks as closely as possible and giving it a good push for a few seconds to ensure it stays in place.

If the door drawer sensor does happen to pop off, don’t worry. Simply snap the magnet back into the sensor and reattach the bottom of the body before sticking it back onto the door.

I hope these tips help you in properly mounting your door drawer sensor. Remember to orient the hole downwards, mount the sensor high, and align the hash marks for optimal placement and performance.
